Marijuana as Medicine
Research on the medical effects of marijuana has been on the rise following legalization in Canada and the United States for medical use. Previously it was recommended by a small number of doctors for symptom relief instead of as a curative. However new research is showing that Marijuana can have both a positive effect on symptoms and a curative effect for various conditions.
It is almost ridiculous that the former “devil’s weed” is becoming such a blessing for so many illnesses. It doesn’t cause any psychological or social issues in users. It is an anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and is neuroprotective. It improves memory and mental function. See our previous blog post, Marijuana and Memory.
Here is a list of some of the conditions that marijuana is being used for treatment – with or without doctor’s supervision.
